On August 25, 2025, ACT Wazalendo’s presidential candidate, Mr. Luhaga Joelson Mpina, together with his running mate, Ms. Fatma Fereji, appeared at the High Court in Dar es Salaam to fulfill the legal requirements for the upcoming general election.

The pair took their oath before High Court Judge Mr. Hussein S. Mtembwa, a mandatory constitutional step for all presidential candidates ahead of officially launching their election campaigns.

Speaking after the ceremony, Mr. Mpina reaffirmed his commitment to a transparent and issue-based campaign, emphasizing his focus on national development, economic growth, and social welfare.

“We are ready to serve the people of Tanzania with dedication and integrity,” he said.

Ms. Fereji added that the duo aims to engage citizens across the country, listening to their concerns and ensuring inclusive policies that benefit all Tanzanians.

The completion of these legal formalities marks the official start of their preparations for the October general election, as candidates across the nation gear up to present their manifestos and visions to the electorate.
