The Commissioner of Conservation at the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority (NCAA), Mr. Abdul-razaq Badru, has urged rangers stationed at the Pololeti Wildlife Reserve in Ngorongoro District to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and ethical conduct in their daily duties.
During a recent official working visit to the reserve, Commissioner Badru engaged with the rangers to assess ongoing conservation and security operations.
He emphasized the critical role that their commitment and integrity play in safeguarding the authority’s reputation and ensuring effective wildlife protection.
“I call upon all rangers to maintain professionalism and dedication as we work to protect this unique ecosystem. Your actions directly impact the success of our conservation efforts and the prestige of our institution,” said Commissioner Badru.
The commissioner commended the rangers for their commendable efforts, which have contributed to a noticeable increase in the population of various wildlife species, including elephants, giraffes, lions, impalas, ostriches, buffaloes, zebras, and other indigenous animals within the reserve.
To further support these efforts, Commissioner Badru assured that the NCAA is committed to upgrading infrastructure and providing improved working environments.
These enhancements aim to bolster conservation strategies and sustain long-term protection of the reserve’s rich biodiversity.
“Our goal is to create an enabling environment that empowers rangers to perform their duties efficiently and with pride,” he added.
The visit underscores NCAA’s ongoing commitment to preserving Tanzania’s natural heritage through professionalism, strategic investment, and community engagement.
