The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has officially handed over 30 laptops to the Solicitor General’s Office to boost efficiency and support the country’s digital transformation agenda.

The handover ceremony, held at the Ministry hall in Government Town, Mtumba, Dodoma, was officiated by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Mohammed Khamis Abdulla.

Mr. Abdulla said the laptops were provided under the Digital Tanzania Project to enhance the office’s capacity in executing its legal and administrative duties effectively.

Solicitor General Dr. Ally Possi thanked the Ministry, noting that the laptops would greatly simplify the office’s daily operations, especially in court-related work that relies heavily on digital tools.

“As government lawyers, almost 90 percent of our activities are carried out in courts and depend on computers. Receiving these laptops comes at the right time and will directly support our work,” Dr. Possi said.

The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to digitize public service delivery and strengthen efficiency in legal and administrative functions.
