Absa Bank Tanzania has positioned itself at the forefront of Tanzania’s economic growth by actively connecting private sector ambitions with government priorities at the 200 CEOs Business Forum.

As the Diamond Sponsor, the bank played a central role in shaping discussions on investment, job creation, and export expansion.

The Forum brought together senior government officials, including the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Dr. Suleiman Hassan Serera, who served as the Guest of Honour, alongside the Minister of Finance, Minister of Construction, Minister of Investment and Planning, the Commissioner of the Tanzania Revenue Authority, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, and the Governor of the Bank of Tanzania.

Through a series of high-level dialogues, participants explored practical solutions to strengthen Tanzania’s business environment.

Key presentations from the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), Tanzania National Business Council (TNBC), Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA), and the Tanzania Association of Management Consultants (TAOMAC) set a pro-investment agenda, while government leaders highlighted immediate policy priorities to enhance competitiveness.

The Bank of Tanzania provided a macroeconomic outlook to guide strategic planning, and Absa showcased tailored financial and risk solutions that help businesses turn ambition into action.

Absa Bank Tanzania Managing Director, Mr. Obedi S. Laiser, emphasized the importance of linking finance with real-world outcomes: “This forum is about making business ideas actionable. We support CEOs and entrepreneurs with practical, timely, and well-priced financial solutions that unlock growth, create jobs, and formalize value chains. Our purpose – ‘Empowering Africa’s tomorrow, together’ – comes to life when we back businesses with the tools they need to succeed.”

The bank highlighted a suite of products designed for business momentum, including the Absa Infinite Card, Absa Business Credit Card, Vehicle Asset Finance (VAF), Trade and Working Capital solutions, Treasury and Risk Management, and digital corporate banking platforms that enable faster and more controlled operations.
