JKT Queens, JKU Princess drawn in Group C for CECAFA Women’s Club Championship

Tanzania’s JKT Queens and Zanzibar’s JKU Princess have been drawn into Group C of the CECAFA Women’s Club Championship, set to kick off this September in Nairobi, Kenya.

In Group C, the Tanzanian sides will face South Sudan’s Yei Point Stars, while Group A features Kenya Police Bullet FC (Kenya), FC Denden (Eritrea), and Kampala Queens (Uganda). 

Group B includes Ethiopia’s Lina C BE FC, Burundi’s Top Girls Academy, and Rwanda’s Rayon Sports Women FC.

The draw, conducted today in Kenya, marks the beginning of an exciting journey for the Tanzanian teams.

 Speaking after the draw, JKT Queens’ media officer Masau Bwire said the squad is training rigorously to achieve their goal of making history by winning the championship abroad.

“We respect all our opponents, and we are focused on performing strongly in every match to progress step by step,” Bwire said. 

“This is how our CECAFA journey begins. We honor the tournament, and that motivates us to give our best.”he added

JKT Queens, based in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, has been training intensively at their camp and is scheduled to depart on September 1 to join the tournament in Nairobi.
