Thousands of supporters, party members, and residents of Segerea constituency in Ilala District turned out in a show of strength today as Bonnah Kamoli formally collected his nomination papers for the upcoming parliamentary election.
The candidate’s convoy, featuring cars, motorcycles, and tuk-tuks, set off from Tabata Shule around 6:00 a.m., moving through Tabata, Segerea, Segerea-Majumba Sita Road, Nyerere Road, and finally Lumumba Street, where the INEC satellite office is located.
The procession was accompanied by drumming, trumpets, festive songs, and vibrant displays of CCM flags.
Kamoli greeted supporters from the sunroof of his vehicle, waving and holding the CCM flag as residents cheered along the route.
The nomination forms were handed over to Kamoli by Faraja Nakua, INEC Constituency Election Officer for Segerea, Kivule, Ukonga, and Ilala.
Speaking after submitting the forms, Kamoli urged Segerea residents to deliver strong support at the polls, while also calling on them to vote for CCM’s presidential candidate, President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The high turnout underscored CCM’s robust presence in Segerea and highlighted Kamoli’s growing appeal ahead of the general elections.
