Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids has expressed his satisfaction with the club’s transfer business ahead of the upcoming 2025/2026 season, describing the new signings as well-suited for both domestic and international competitions.
The Tanzanian giants are currently in Ismailia, Egypt, for their pre-season training camp as they prepare for what promises to be a highly competitive campaign.
Speaking on August 8, 2025, Fadlu said he is happy with the quality and character of the players brought in this window, and believes they will help Simba achieve greater success in the new season.
“I’m pleased with how the club approached the transfer window this year. The signings have been made strategically, with a clear focus on strengthening the team for both local and continental challenges,” Fadlu stated.
He emphasized that unlike last season where the squad was strong but primarily built for local competition this year’s team has been reinforced across all departments with players experienced in high-level tournaments.
One of the standout signings is Rushine De Reuck, a seasoned defender with CAF Champions League experience from his time at Mamelodi Sundowns. Fadlu believes he will provide much-needed stability at the back, a position that struggled in key moments last season.
In midfield, which Fadlu referred to as the “engine room” of the team, Simba have added Allaasante Kante and Hussein Daud Semfuko, both expected to bring energy, creativity, and control—especially in tough continental fixtures.
“We’ve also brought in Mohamed Bajaber, an attacking midfielder with excellent vision and finishing ability. He’s capable of scoring, creating chances, and unlocking tight defenses,” Fadlu added.
Up front, the coach highlighted Jonathan Sowah as a major boost to the attacking line. The Ghanaian forward is expected to play a crucial role thanks to his proven goal-scoring record and valuable experience.
Fadlu concluded by expressing confidence that the strengthened squad will not only compete effectively in the Tanzanian Premier League but also make a deeper impact in CAF competitions.
“We’ve built a more balanced and competitive squad this season. The goal is to go further than ever locally and across Africa,” he affirmed.
