The Dodoma Regional Commissioner, Hon. Rosemary Senyamule, has praised the Mining Commission for its outstanding efforts in raising public awareness and promoting investment opportunities in the mineral sector during the ongoing Nane Nane Exhibitions at Nzuguni Grounds in Dodoma.
During her visit to the Commission’s pavilion on Tuesday, Senyamule noted that the institution is playing a key role in demonstrating how the mineral sector can effectively contribute to economic growth both at the individual and national levels.
“I sincerely commend the Mining Commission for educating citizens on how they can engage in mining, mineral processing, and trading through formal mineral markets,” she said.
The visit took place at the 2025 Nane Nane Agricultural Exhibitions, which aim to showcase national development opportunities in agriculture, livestock, industry, and minerals. The Mining Commission is among the key institutions participating in this year’s event to promote citizen and investor engagement in mining.
Ms. Senyamule emphasized that Dodoma Region is rich in various minerals including industrial minerals, gemstones, and building materials.
She encouraged the Commission to continue mobilizing stakeholders to invest in the sector, leveraging friendly policies and legal frameworks already in place.
Officers at the pavilion explained that the Commission will continue offering education on how Tanzanians can benefit from the entire mineral value chain. This includes obtaining mining licenses, adopting modern mineral processing technologies, and the importance of using formal mineral markets to ensure transparency and fair trade.
The Nane Nane Exhibitions will run until August 8, 2025, attracting participants from across the country to learn, engage, and explore opportunities in key economic sectors.
