The ruling party, CCM, has officially endorsed Ojambi Didas Masaburi, a party member and former Deputy Mayor of Ilala Municipal Council, to contest the parliamentary seat for Kivule Constituency in the upcoming general election scheduled for October this year.
Masaburi, who successfully participated in the party’s internal nomination process, was confirmed as CCM’s candidate following a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) in Dodoma, where names of all parliamentary candidates were vetted and approved.
CPA Amoss Makalla, CCM’s Secretary for Ideology, Propaganda and Training, announced the names of parliamentary candidates across all constituencies, confirming Masaburi as the party’s choice for Kivule.
Following the endorsement, Masaburi will obtain the official nomination form, submit it to the National Electoral Commission (NEC), and later begin campaigning to seek votes from Kivule constituents.
Kivule is a newly established constituency, created after the division of Ukonga Constituency by the electoral body, resulting in the formation of two constituencies: Ukonga and Kivule.
Masaburi has now been officially endorsed to represent CCM in the newly formed Kivule Constituency.
