Aida Haule, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) candidate for Utengule Usongwe Ward in Mbeya District, has promised to focus on improving education, infrastructure, and public services if elected councilor.

Speaking on August 19, 2025, while submitting her nomination form, Haule highlighted four key priorities.

She pledged to work closely with the government and local residents to build additional classrooms to ease overcrowding and to transform Mbalizi town into a fully functional local authority.

“Utengule Usongwe Ward has a growing number of children, and although the government has built classrooms, the demand is still high. Our community has long faced challenges, including limited authority and poor roads. Only two kilometers of the main road are paved, leaving many streets difficult to access. I am committed to working with residents and government to address these issues,” Haule said.

Haule also noted challenges with water access, saying the existing infrastructure is old and prone to frequent failures, affecting timely water supply.

Local residents expressed confidence in Haule’s ability to deliver results. Philipo Isonda, a Mbalizi resident, said, “We have high expectations for her. We have seen her dedication in the past, and she has always worked closely with the community.”

Paulo Mwampamba, Chairman of the Mbalizi Ward Community Development Committee, praised her professionalism and commitment.

“When she served as a special councilor, she worked tirelessly to improve our community. Together, we built a secondary school and upgraded local water systems. She is determined and results-driven, and I trust she will continue to advance Mbalizi,” he said.

Mwampamba also noted that Haule played a key role in advocating for the construction of a long-awaited bus terminal in Mbalizi, addressing a critical local need.

With her nomination, Haule says she is ready to work hand in hand with the government and residents to ensure sustainable development and improve living conditions in Utengule Usongwe Ward.
