Paris Saint-Germain have stormed into the final of the 2025 International Champions Cup with a commanding 4-0 win over Spanish giants Real Madrid, setting up a blockbuster final against Chelsea on 13 July at 22:00.

The French champions produced one of their most clinical performances in recent memory, dismantling Carlo Ancelotti’s side with ruthless efficiency in front of a packed stadium.

Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring with a composed finish in the 12th minute after a fluid PSG move carved open Madrid’s backline. The early goal set the tone for a match that quickly turned into a one-sided affair.

Captain Marquinhos made it 2-0 before the break, rising highest to head home a pinpoint corner from Vitinha in the 38th minute.

With Madrid struggling to contain PSG’s relentless pace and pressing, the gulf in class was evident throughout the first half.

Real Madrid, who fielded a strong lineup including Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo, failed to register a shot on target in the opening 45 minutes. Their midfield was overrun, and their defence looked increasingly fragile.

Ousmane Dembélé added PSG’s third with a powerful long-range effort in the 67th minute, while substitute Gonçalo Ramos completed the rout with a tidy finish in the 82nd minute, capitalising on a rebound after Madrid’s defence failed to clear their lines.

Luis Enrique’s side were tactically superior, well-organised, and unrelenting in attackqualities that could see them lift the trophy for the first time since 2020.

“This is the level we must maintain. It was a complete performance,” Enrique said after the match.

Ancelotti admitted his team were outplayed and called the defeat a “wake-up call” ahead of the new season.

PSG will now meet Chelsea in the final on Saturday night. The London club secured their spot after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Bayern Munich earlier in the week.

With both teams boasting firepower and tactical depth, the final promises to be an electrifying encounter one that could set the tone for the upcoming European season.
