Former Magu District Commissioner Joshua Nassari officially handed over office to the newly appointed DC Jubilate Lawuo on Tuesday, marking a leadership transition following her appointment by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
During the handover ceremony, held at the Magu District Commissioner’s office, Nassari expressed his gratitude to government officials, private sector partners, and residents of Magu for their unwavering support throughout his term in office.
“I am deeply thankful for the collaboration I received from all sectors. It has been an honour to serve Magu. I urge everyone to maintain the momentum in advancing development initiatives and to offer full support to the incoming commissioner,” Nassari said.
The new DC, Jubilate Lawuo, vowed to build on the progress made and to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to improve service delivery and foster inclusive development in the district.
“I am committed to upholding the trust placed in me. Together with development stakeholders, I will ensure that the people of Magu continue to receive efficient services and benefit from impactful projects,” she said.
The ceremony was witnessed by members of the district’s defense and security committee, Magu District Executive Director, the CCM District Secretary, and staff from the DC’s office.
