The Ministry of Finance has won third place in the overall category of ministries participating in the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), popularly known as Sabasaba.
The award was presented by the Minister for Industry and Trade, Dr. Seleman Jafo, during an official ceremony at the fairgrounds. The recognition highlights the Ministry’s strong performance in delivering quality services to the public throughout the exhibition.
Senior Information Officer Mr. Ramadhan Kissimba received the award on behalf of the Head of Government Communication Unit, Mr. Benny Mwaipaja.
The Ministry showcased its work through several departments and affiliated institutions, including the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB), the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), Unit Trust of Tanzania Asset Management and Investor Services (UTT AMIS), and Self Microfinance Fund.
Other key institutions featured at the pavilion included the Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA), Tanzania Mercantile Exchange (TMX), Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), Capital Markets Tribunal (CMT), TIB Development Bank, and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Also present were Hazina SACCOS, the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), the Public Procurement Appeals Authority (PPAA), and the Government Procurement Services Agency (GPSA).
This recognition reflects the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening public financial management, promoting financial literacy, and enhancing transparency across its institutions.
