TIC, Mkapa Foundation partner to boost investment in health sector

The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Benjamin Mkapa Foundation (BMF) aimed at promoting and facilitating increased investment in Tanzania’s health sector.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, TIC Executive Director Mr Gilead Teri highlighted BMF’s longstanding contribution to improving healthcare services across the country. 

He said the new collaboration is expected to strengthen investor confidence and attract more players to the vital sector.

“The Benjamin Mkapa Foundation has demonstrated unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery. This partnership will serve as a catalyst for mobilising impactful investments that support the government’s agenda for quality and accessible health services,” Mr Teri said.

On her part, BMF Executive Director Dr Ellen Mkondya-Senkoro reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to driving health sector transformation, noting that the collaboration with TIC marks a significant step forward in engaging potential investors.

“For years, we have been working to attract investments that can fill key gaps in health service delivery. By working with TIC, we are confident that our joint efforts will create a more enabling environment for sustainable health investments,” she said.

The agreement was witnessed by TIC Board Chairperson Dr Binilith Mahenge, who commended the two institutions for their shared vision and expressed optimism that the initiative would contribute to Tanzania’s broader development goals.
