TFS strengthens foundations of good governance for forest officers

The Tanzania Forest Services Agency (TFS) continues to strengthen good governance principles among its staff by regularly conducting training sessions focused on promoting integrity, accountability, and combating corruption in the workplace.

As part of these ongoing efforts, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, TFS hosted officers from the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) in the Iringa Region at the Sao Hill Plantation.

The session aimed to educate forest officers on how to prevent and fight corruption while reinforcing ethical standards in public service.

During the training, Mr. Victor Swella, Regional Manager of PCCB Iringa, emphasized that the initiative seeks to remind public servants of their duty to the public and encourage the responsible use of the authority entrusted to them.

This, he noted, is crucial to enhancing accountability and closing loopholes that allow corruption to thrive.

“Every public servant must exercise their authority in strict accordance with established procedures, regulations, and laws,” he said.
