Weather conditions across Tanzania over the next 24 hours are expected to remain generally stable, with partly cloudy skies and extended sunny periods prevailing across much of the country.
Isolated light rain showers are forecast in some areas, particularly over the Unguja and Pemba Isles, as well as the Dar es Salaam and Tanga regions.
The remainder of the coastal mainland including the Coast Region (with Mafia Isles), Lindi, Mtwara, and Morogoro along with Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Kigoma, Tabora, Katavi, Dodoma, and Singida, will experience dry weather with a mix of cloud cover and sunshine.
Similarly, regions in the Lake Zone and southern highlands including Kagera, Geita, Mwanza, Simiyu, Mara, Shinyanga, Ruvuma, Iringa, Njombe, Rukwa, Songwe, and Mbeya can expect calm, partly cloudy conditions with no significant rainfall.
A marine advisory has been issued for the entire Indian Ocean coastline, where short bursts of strong winds reaching up to 40 kilometers per hour and wave heights of up to 2 meters are expected.
This affects coastal regions including Lindi, Mtwara, Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Pwani (including Mafia Isles), as well as Unguja and Pemba Isles.
Winds are expected to blow from the south along the northern coast and from the southeast in the south. Sea conditions in these areas are expected to be rough, and mariners are advised to exercise caution.
Maximum daytime temperatures will vary significantly by region, ranging from 17°C in Njombe to 31°C in Kigoma.
Nighttime lows are forecast to dip to 9°C in the highland areas of Njombe. Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar will remain relatively warm with highs around 28–29°C and lows between 21–24°C. Sunrise times across the country will vary slightly, with earliest sunrise at 06:29 in Tanga and the latest at 07:08 in Kigoma. Sunset will occur between 18:13 and 18:54 depending on location.
