Tabora United Football Club is setting its sights on a major revival in the upcoming NBC Premier League season, with plans underway to strengthen both its squad and technical bench.
Speaking to The Respondent, the club’s media officer, Christina Mwagala, revealed that the team is preparing to return with renewed energy and ambition, aiming to be more competitive at the top level.
“We’re coming back stronger next season,” she said. “We’re planning to reinforce our technical team and make impactful signings that will turn heads. Everyone should expect a different Tabora United.”
Christina acknowledged the intense competition this season, noting that every club is fighting hard to avoid relegation, which has raised the stakes across the league.
“Our immediate focus is on finishing this season strongly. The remaining matches are crucial, and we’re working hard to ensure we retain our place in the top flight. We urge our fans to keep supporting us during this critical period,” she added.
She also confirmed that the team is in good shape, with no current injury concerns. Training sessions are ongoing to improve players’ fitness and match readiness ahead of the final fixtures.
“Our objective is to secure positive results in our remaining games and end the season on a high note. The players are healthy, committed, and motivated to give their best.”
Tabora United will face Azam FC on June 18 at the Azam Complex in Chamazi, Dar es Salaam, followed by their final league fixture against Coastal Union on June 22 at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
