The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, held official talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of Tanzania, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, during his visit to the Presidential Palace in Prishtina, Kosovo, on June 1, 2025.
The discussions centered on strengthening and expanding the existing diplomatic ties between Tanzania and Kosovo, with a focus on strategic sectors such as trade, investment, agriculture, and tourism.
In his opening remarks, President Sadriu expressed appreciation for Tanzania’s positive response to her invitation to participate in the Third International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security, of which she is a founding initiator.
She further emphasized that Kosovo highly values the diplomatic relationship with Tanzania and is committed to deepening bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations and their citizens.
Regarding economic collaboration, President Sadriu voiced support for the proposal to establish a Joint Economic Commission and expressed readiness to send a business delegation to Tanzania to explore investment and trade opportunities.
Minister Kombo, for his part, commended the strong partnership between the two countries and reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and tourism.
He also extended a warm invitation to Kosovo’s business community and investors to visit Tanzania and explore the country’s abundant business and investment potential.
Tanzania stands to benefit significantly from access to the Kosovo market by exporting key products such as fish and other seafood, spices, leather goods, and fruits.
Minister Kombo and his delegation are in Kosovo to attend the Third International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security, scheduled to take place from June 2 to 3, 2025.
