Babati – The Secretary of Ideology, Publicity, and Training for the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), CPA Amos Makalla, has praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her visionary leadership in promoting tourism across Tanzania’s northern regions through the film The Royal Tour.

Speaking on June 4, 2025, at a public rally held at Mollel Papaa grounds in Babati District, Manyara Region, Makalla said the film has played a significant role in strengthening the tourism sector by showcasing Tanzania’s attractions to a global audience.

This increased visibility has translated into higher tourist arrivals and greater revenue for the country.

"Through The Royal Tour, tourism in northern regions particularly Manyara, Arusha, and Kilimanjaro has experienced tremendous growth. Manyara residents are directly benefiting due to the region’s proximity to key tourist destinations like Karatu, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara National Park," Makalla said as he kicked off a nine-day tour of the northern zone, which includes Arusha, Kilimanjaro, and Manyara regions.

He emphasized that the influx of tourists has increased financial circulation and national revenue, attributing these gains to President Samia's creative initiative to personally promote Tanzania on the international stage.

“The President’s innovation and commitment to marketing our country have paid off, and the northern regions are seeing the direct impact of that effort,” Makalla noted.

He also referenced former Prime Minister Frederick Sumaye’s recent remarks highlighting the progress made under the Sixth Phase Government.

Sumaye commended President Samia’s leadership, noting how her administration is shaping Tanzania’s future while building on its rich historical foundation.
