ICT specialists in the Water Sector have been urged to intensify efforts to ensure that digital systems are interoperable and keep pace with advancing technology.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Water, Engineer Mwajuma Waziri, made these remarks in Mtumba, Dodoma, emphasizing that this initiative will streamline the rapid access to various information related to water services.
Addressing the experts, she encouraged them to identify the most effective methods to facilitate easy access to vital information concerning water supply and sanitation through integrated and interoperable systems.
“There is no justification for continuing to seek information about water supply and sanitation services on paper or through intermediaries. Such information should be accessible via self-sufficient, interconnected systems,” Engineer Mwajuma stated.
Furthermore, she commended all experts for their dedication and efforts in ensuring that the Ministry of Water’s objectives and strategies are successfully implemented through ICT.
