The semi-final stage of the Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League is poised to heat up tomorrow and the following day at the International University College of Tanzania (KIUT) grounds in Dar es Salaam.

In the women's semi-finals, Jeshi Stars will take on TPA, while JKT will battle KIUT, with both matches scheduled at the KIUT venue.

On the men's side, JKT will face KIUT, and TPA will host High Voltage, marking a critical step toward the championship.

Before these high-stakes semi-finals, Tanzania Prisons will go head-to-head with Star Girls in a match to determine the third-place winner for the 2024/2025 season.

Speaking to The Respondent online, Fredy Mshangama, Chairman of the Dar es Salaam Volleyball Association (DAREVA), outlined the format: each semi-final pairing will play up to three matches. A team that wins two consecutive games will immediately advance to the finals.

He further explained, “If both teams win one match each, a decisive third match will be played next week to decide who progresses to the final.”

Mshangama expressed high hopes for a fiercely competitive semi-final stage, emphasizing that all teams have prepared diligently to achieve their season goals.

He also highlighted the impressive level of competition throughout this season’s league, from the first round through to the quarter-finals, noting the intense rivalry on display.

Finally, Mshangama extended his gratitude to the players, managers, coaches, and stakeholders who have passionately supported the league, contributing to its success.
