The Tanzania Boxing Federation (BFT) has announced a foundational training course for boxing coaches and referees, set to take place from June 30 to July 10, 2025. The sessions will be held at the CCM Tiptop Hall in Manzese, Dar es Salaam.

BFT Secretary-General, Makore Mashaga, stated that the course primarily targets retired boxers who have yet to receive formal training in boxing techniques and coaching.

Additionally, boxing enthusiasts interested in advancing their knowledge of the sport are encouraged to participate.

Mashaga emphasized that the course welcomes individuals who aspire to become certified coaches and referees, especially those currently coaching various teams without formal education or official certification in the sport.

“This course is part of our commitment to uphold high standards in boxing education and to promote the sport’s development on a solid foundation,” Mashaga explained.

The coaching instructors for the course will include Michael Changarawe, Robert Sululu, and Samwel Kapungu, while the refereeing segment will be led by Makore Mashaga and Mafuru Mafuru.

Registration for participants is ongoing, and interested parties are encouraged to sign up promptly.
