Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) has officially appointed Bongo Fleva artist Banana Zorro as the Ambassador of the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), popularly known as Sabasaba 2025.
Speaking during the announcement today June 3, TanTrade Director General, Ms. Latifa M. Khamis, said the artist will play a key role in promoting the event both locally and internationally.
His responsibilities will include raising public awareness and encouraging participation in the annual trade fair, which brings together a wide range of stakeholders from across the region and beyond.
“As the official ambassador, Banana Zorro will help to inform Tanzanians and the international community about the importance of Sabasaba 2025. The fair is a platform for expanding trade opportunities, learning new market access strategies, exchanging business experiences, and networking with traders from inside and outside Tanzania,” Ms. Khamis said.
The 49th edition of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair is scheduled to run from June 28 to July 13, 2025.
The event will be hosted at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds in Dar es Salaam and is expected to attract thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across the globe.
