Azam FC is scheduled to depart Dar es Salaam early tomorrow morning as they prepare to take on Fountain Gate FC in their final fixture of the 2024/2025 NBC Premier League season, set for June 22 at the Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium in Manyara Region.

The team will travel by train to Dodoma before continuing the journey by bus to Manyara, where they aim to close the season on a high note.

The trip comes just days after Azam delivered a dominant 5–0 victory over Tabora United at home on June 18. With confidence riding high, the team is determined to maintain momentum and end the campaign with another strong performance.

Speaking to The Respondent Online, Azam FC's Head of Information and Communication, Thabiti Zakaria, said the club has made adequate preparations for the crucial away match.

“We are well-prepared for this final game. Although we didn’t fully achieve our goals this season, we want to finish on a positive note,” he said.

Zakaria added that the team is focused and eager to collect three points from their opponents. “We ended our home matches in style, and now we’re going away with the same hunger and commitment to win. This match means a lot to us.”

He confirmed that the squad is in good shape, with no new injury concerns. Only a few long-term absentees will miss the match, while the rest of the squad is fit and ready for action.

Zakaria also appealed to fans to continue showing their support, either by attending the game or tuning in on television.

“The players are motivated by the energy and encouragement from our supporters. When we win, it’s not just for the team it’s a shared victory.”he added

As the curtain falls on the season, all eyes will be on Azam to see if they can cap off their campaign with another impressive result.
