Yanga to travel to Tanga for semi-final clash

Young Africans SC (Yanga) are scheduled to depart for Tanga tomorrow ahead of their crucial CRDB Federation Cup semi-final clash against JKT Tanzania, which will take place on May 18 at the Mkwakwani Stadium.

Speaking to the press, Yanga’s Head of Media and Communications, Ally Kamwe, confirmed that the entire squad will be making the trip, underscoring the significance of the fixture.

This is a very important and high-stakes match as it’s the semi-final stage. Every Yanga fan is eager to see the team qualify for the final and continue the mission of defending the title,” Kamwe stated.

He called on fans in Tanga to turn out in large numbers to welcome the team, adding, “Our appeal to the people of Tanga especially our supporters is to come out and receive the squad. We want to make our presence felt in the city ahead of this big game.”he added

Kamwe also revealed that preparations for the fans' travel are ongoing at the club’s headquarters, with 35 buses already secured. The target is to reach 50 buses to transport supporters to the match.

These buses are being coordinated through fan groups in Dar es Salaam and Morogoro. We’re also encouraging supporters from neighboring regions to come to the club offices to arrange transportation,” he added.
