Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga), through its executive committee, is set to host a special awards ceremony titled the Yanga Princess Award Gala, taking place today in Dar es Salaam.

The event follows the conclusion of the football league season yesterday and is aimed at honoring standout players from the Yanga Princess women’s team before they head home for the off-season break.

Yanga's Media and Communications Manager, Ally Kamwe, explained that the goal of the gala is to recognize top performers and celebrate the achievements of the team throughout the season.

We want to appreciate the players who have done exceptionally well and motivate the entire squad as we prepare for the new season,” Kamwe said.

He added that the event will also bring together key stakeholders, sponsors, players, club members, and fans to foster unity and strengthen relationships in anticipation of the upcoming Premier League season.

Tomorrow (Today), we aim to boost team spirit and morale by hosting this special awards gala for our women’s team. This is part of our strategy to encourage them to go all the way and win the title next season,” he said.

Kamwe emphasized that the club's broader mission is to build cohesion, solidarity, and renewed motivation so the team can pick up where they left off and push for championship success in the new season.
