Tanzania’s Ambassador to Comoros, Saidi Yakubu, met with Comorian Chief Secretary Nour El Fatih Azali to discuss the organization of a high-level trade and investment forum scheduled for next month. The forum is a joint initiative between the Tanzanian Embassy and the Government of Comoros.

The meeting, held at the State House in Moroni, focused on strengthening economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations. Ambassador Yakubu outlined key areas requiring support from the Comorian government to facilitate preparations and ensure the forum’s success.

Chief Secretary Azali welcomed the proposals and assured the Ambassador of his government's commitment to supporting the initiative.

He emphasized the importance of bilateral collaboration in unlocking opportunities for growth and development.

Ambassador Yakubu highlighted the forum as a strategic platform to deepen economic cooperation, promote mutual investment, and expand trade opportunities for businesses and institutions from both countries—particularly Tanzanian entrepreneurs looking to enter new markets.

The forum will take place against the backdrop of Comoros’ 50th independence anniversary, a milestone year marked by a series of national celebrations.

Tanzanian institutions are expected to participate actively in these events, further cementing the strong ties between the two nations.
