Tanzania applauded for creating a friendly environment for investors

The government of Tanzania has received praise from foreign investors for its efforts to improve the business environment.

The efforts include making it easier to register companies and allowing investors to start their activities quickly without facing many challenges.

This was said in Dar es Salaam today during the launch of a new branch of Spidd Africa, a technology company.

The company’s Business Development Manager, Catherine Kisaka, said Tanzania is serious about attracting investors.

She praised the country for having friendly laws and using digital systems that help register companies faster.

“Tanzania has demonstrated strong dedication to attracting investment. The government has put in place simplified digital systems that support entrepreneurs and businesses to get started without unnecessary delays,” said Kisaka.

Spidd Africa is based in Uganda. The company aims to bring digital change to the African business sector.

It offers creative solutions, especially to small and medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, and large organizations.

The company’s General Manager from Uganda, Angela Semwogerere, said they also want to teach people about online safety.

She said this will help different institutions understand and protect their information better.

“One of our main goals is to provide education and training on cybersecurity to various institutions, thereby raising awareness and strengthening data protection in today’s increasingly digital world,” said Semwogerere.

Opening a new branch in Tanzania is expected to bring positive changes in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.

It will also help create jobs and encourage young Tanzanians to be more innovative.

The launch shows that investors have trust in Tanzania’s economic direction and its efforts to support digital growth.
