The Tanzania Amputee Football Federation (TAFF) is set to elect its new leadership tomorrow during its General Assembly, which will take place at the Benjamini Mkapa Hall in Dar es Salaam.
According to the Chairperson of the Election Committee, Charles Maguzu, the vetting of candidates was completed earlier today, and all preparations for the elections are in place.
The presidential race features two candidates: Julius John Koyi and Sharifu Makame. The position of First Vice President is being contested by Abdul Mashine.
For the role of Second Vice President, the candidates are Faraja Mbagale and Rahel Pallangy. Fredrick Sintau is running unopposed for the position of Secretary General.
Anectus Blasio and Daud Mnongya will compete for the position of Assistant Secretary, while Joseph Lugayila is seeking election as Treasurer. The position of Technical Director has attracted two contenders: Salehe Bundala and Shaban Msangi.
Several candidates are vying for seats on the Executive Committee. These include Charles Mwamlima, Athumani Athumani, Dr. Elice Masanilo, Elisha Kukinganila, Maulid Mwikalo, Monica Luswaha, Maria Mawata, and Juma Kidevu.
The elections are expected to shape the future direction of TAFF and strengthen its commitment to the development of amputee football in Tanzania.
