The Regional Administrative Secretary of Lindi, Ms. Zuwena Omary, has called on the President Samia’s specialist doctors to deliver high-quality and effective healthcare services, ensuring that they provide accurate guidance to patients in need, so every citizen can benefit from the specialized medical care provided.

Ms. Zuwena made these remarks today, May 19, 2025, in Lindi, during the official opening of the President Samia Specialist Doctors' Camp, which is being held at all six (6) district hospitals in the region.

She emphasized that the citizens seeking services from these doctors come from diverse backgrounds and communities.

It is her expectation that the specialist doctors will exercise patience throughout the service delivery process to ensure that everyone who seeks care receives the attention they need.

I would like to thank and congratulate the specialist doctors for being selected by President Samia to implement the vision of ensuring that every Tanzanian has access to quality specialist healthcare in their local areas. Without your expertise, we, the citizens, would have no healthcare. We ask you to be patient with us and serve us with love,” said Ms. Zuwena.

She also urged the citizens of Lindi Region, particularly those with health challenges, to take full advantage of this opportunity to access specialized medical services.

Additionally, she encouraged those who are healthy to come and undergo health check-ups, advising them not to wait until the program comes to an end.

President Samia has built many health centers, improved infrastructure, and provided essential medical equipment, while ensuring the employment of many health workers. She understands the importance of making specialized services accessible to local communities. That’s why she has continued this initiative of bringing specialist doctors closer to the people, reducing costs for citizens,” Ms. Zuwena explained.

In a message from the Ministry of Health, Mr. Michael Mbele, Program Officer from the Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health Services Department, shared that the camp, which includes 47 specialist doctors, will be held at all district hospitals in Lindi.

The goal is to reach citizens in need of specialized services, while also offering on-the-job training for healthcare workers in their local work environments.
