President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has said that the progress achieved during the Sixth-Phase Government is the result of fulfilling the development goals and needs of Tanzanians as outlined in the 2020–2025 Election Manifesto of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party.
She made these remarks after receiving a Special Honorary Award from the Parliament of Tanzania in recognition of her strong and inclusive leadership, which has focused on national development and the well-being of citizens.
While expressing her gratitude, President Samia said the award represents appreciation for the teamwork shown by the country’s institutions, government leaders, and citizens who have worked closely with her to support national development during her time in office.
President Samia also praised the Parliament for its strong commitment in supervising the government through budget discussions, passing important laws, and providing advice that has helped improve performance at all levels.
She further commended Members of Parliament for speaking up and defending the interests of the people they represent both inside and outside Parliament.
The Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Tulia Ackson, congratulated President Samia for her outstanding leadership and said the award was given on behalf of all Members of Parliament as a sign of respect and appreciation for her efforts.
Dr. Tulia added that under President Samia’s leadership, Tanzania has seen major improvements in strengthening the Union, completing big national projects, and making progress in key sectors such as education, health, mining, tourism, transport, agriculture, energy, and international diplomacy.
She also highlighted the importance of President Samia’s R4 philosophy—Reconciliation, Resilience, Reforms, and Rebuilding—which has guided the government’s efforts in building a united, strong, and inclusive nation.
