JKT Queens have been officially crowned champions of the 2024/2025 Tanzania Women's Premier League (TWPL) after an emphatic 5-0 victory over Gets Program in a match played today at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.
The dominant win secured JKT Queens the top spot on the league table with 47 points — equal to Simba Queens, but ahead on goal difference, granting them the title.
Simba Queens also wrapped up their season with a 2-0 victory over Alliance Girls in a match held at the TFF Technical Centre in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam. Despite the win, they finished in second place due to the goal difference tiebreaker.
Meanwhile, Yanga Princess and Ceassiaa played to a 2-2 draw at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam. The result saw Yanga Princess end the season in third place.
In other fixtures, Fountain Gate Princess took full advantage of their home ground, delivering a crushing 6-0 defeat to Mlandizi at Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium in Manyara Region.
Mashujaa Queens also ended their campaign on a strong note, earning a 3-1 win over Bunda Queens in a match played at Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The 2024/2025 TWPL season showcased fierce competition and growing talent in women’s football across the country, with JKT Queens emerging as deserved champions.
