The District Commissioner (DC) of Handeni,  Japhari Kubecha, convened a strategic working meeting with heads of key institutions operating within the district, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration in accelerating local development.

Among the institutions represented in the meeting were the Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA), Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA), Tanzania Forest Services (TFS), Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO), National Identification Authority (NIDA), Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA), the Folk Development College, and the Mineral Development Center.

In his address, DC Kubecha commended the institutions for their dedicated service delivery, urging them to enhance innovation, efficiency, and responsiveness in meeting the expectations of citizens.

“Our people deserve quality and timely services. This can only be achieved through strong inter-agency cooperation and accountability,” he stated.

He further highlighted that many of the challenges faced by citizens could be swiftly addressed if institutions adopt a culture of sharing information and jointly planning their development initiatives. According to him, the government's current direction encourages coordinated efforts rather than isolated operations by individual institutions.

During the meeting, institutional heads presented updates on their achievements and operational challenges, expressing their commitment to work closely with the District Commissioner’s office for the betterment of the district.

This meeting is part of a broader strategy by DC Kubecha to reinforce good governance, transparency, and collaborative development planning in Handeni District.
