The second round of the Dar es Salaam Volleyball League is gaining significant momentum, with teams delivering impressive performances in yesterday’s matches at the KIUT Gongo la Mboto Courts in the city.
This phase of the league is crucial, with teams vying for top positions to secure a place in the playoffs and ultimately advance to the finals for this season.
IP Sports triumphed with a 3-1 victory over Best Six, while Bandari suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Tanzania Military Stars. Meanwhile, Tanzania Prison’s team was beaten 3-1 by KIUT.
In other matches, Kigamboni claimed a 3-2 win over Giraffe, Wazo edged out TCTA 3-2, Twalipo defeated Chui 3-0, and TPDC cruised to a 3-0 victory against UDSM. On the women’s side, Military Stars defeated Bandari 3-1.
Commenting on the league’s progress, the Acting Chairman of the Technical Committee of Dar es Salaam Volleyball Association (DAREVA) noted that the level of competition is intensifying as teams battle for the top spots.
He emphasized that teams are playing with a strategic focus on accumulating points to improve their standings, with the goal of securing one of the top four positions to qualify for next season’s National League.
