The Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Dar es Salaam Regional Political Committee has conducted an inspection tour of various development projects underway in Kigamboni District.
The visit aimed to assess the implementation of the party’s 2020–2025 Election Manifesto, with the committee expressing satisfaction over the progress made.
The delegation was led by the CCM Dar es Salaam Regional Secretary, Mr. Elias Mpanda, representing the Regional Chairperson.
He was accompanied by the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila, who oversees the implementation of the party’s manifesto within the region.
Speaking during the tour in Kigamboni, Chalamila highlighted that due to increasing population pressures and limited land availability, the region has adopted a new approach for constructing schools and health centers building vertically through multi story structures. This strategy ensures more efficient land use while addressing space constraints.
During a visit to the construction site of the Dar es Salaam Regional Secondary School in Kigamboni, RC Chalamila noted that the initiative to build regional schools including the girls' school in Kwembe, Ubungo District is part of a broader vision to provide students with both academic and vocational training, equipping them with essential life skills upon graduation.
While acknowledging the commendable progress of the projects, RC Chalamila urged contractors to use the funds allocated by President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan responsibly.
He emphasized the importance of directing these resources to their intended purposes, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, meet required quality standards, and reflect value for money.
Representing the CCM Regional Chairperson, Mr. Mpanda reaffirmed the party's satisfaction with the implementation of the manifesto in Kigamboni.
He stressed the need for timely completion and adherence to quality benchmarks across all ongoing projects.
As part of the tour, the Regional Political Committee visited Vumilia Ukoni Secondary School in Kisarawe II Ward, the multi story health center under construction in Mjimwema Ward, and the new Dar es Salaam Regional Secondary School located in Geza Juu, Kigamboni District.
