The National Sports Council (BMT) has urged stakeholders to come forward and collect nomination forms to vie for leadership positions in the Tanzania Football Federation for People with Disabilities (TAFF), scheduled to take place on May 4 this year in Dar es Salaam.

This call was made by the Head of the Public Relations and Communications Unit of BMT, Najaha Bakari, who emphasized that the doors are open for those who meet the qualifications and have the intention to contest.

He stated that the forms have already been issued, with the deadline for submission being May 2, and the candidate interviews will take place on May 3 this year.

"We invite stakeholders who have a genuine interest in the development of sports in our country, especially for people with disabilities, to come forward for the greater good of this sport for our nation," he said.

He further added that the nomination fees are in accordance with the positions being contested, with the top six positions requiring a fee of 50,000 Tanzanian shillings, and the remaining three positions requiring a fee of 30,000 Tanzanian shillings.

The positions available for election include President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary General, and Treasurer (all of whom will pay a nomination fee of 50,000 Tanzanian shillings).

Meanwhile, the positions of Director of Technical Affairs, Public Relations Officer, and six members of the executive committee will require a fee of 30,000 Tanzanian shillings each.
