TFF reopens Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium for league matches

By Victoria Godfrey

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has officially reopened Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora for league matches after necessary upgrades were made to meet regulatory standards and football laws.

The stadium had been temporarily closed due to substandard infrastructure that failed to comply with club licensing regulations.

TFF’s Media and Communications Officer, Clifford Marion Ndimbo, confirmed that the stadium has undergone thorough inspection and now meets all required criteria following the recommended renovations.

He reiterated TFF’s call for clubs to prioritize the maintenance of their home stadiums in collaboration with facility owners.

For teams that do not own stadiums, he urged them to work closely with stakeholders to ensure league matches are played in quality venues that enhance competition and add value to the league.

"With this announcement, all teams that previously used this stadium as their home ground can now resume playing their matches there," Ndimbo stated.
