As the Muslim community in Tanzania and around the world celebrated Eid El-Fitr, the Chairman of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Party in Tanga Region, Mr. Ostadh Rajabu Abdullaman, made a powerful call for peace, unity, and love.

Speaking during the festive period, he emphasized the importance of maintaining peace in the region and urged the public to come together, not only to celebrate but also to strengthen the bonds of harmony and solidarity.

Addressing journalists, Mr. Abdullaman extended his Eid greetings to both Muslims and non-Muslims, emphasizing that Eid should be a time of love and unity.

“Let us celebrate with love and unity, and continue to uphold peace in our region,” he stated. His call for peaceful celebrations was a reminder to all citizens of Tanga that peace should remain at the core of their celebrations and interactions.

The Chairman stressed that it was crucial for people to avoid any actions that could disturb the region’s peaceful atmosphere.

“There is no place for actions that may disrupt our peace,” Mr. Abdullaman warned. “We do not want to be manipulated by those who might try to drag us into divisive politics. The CCM Party in Tanga Region is committed to ensuring peace, and we will not tolerate anyone trying to disturb the tranquility of our community.” His words underscored the Party's commitment to ensuring that peace is maintained and protected in every corner of Tanga.

He also expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan in safeguarding peace across Tanzania.

“President Dr. Samia has worked tirelessly to ensure that peace is maintained in our country. We must not take the peace we have for granted, for its loss would have severe consequences,” Mr. Abdullaman said.

This statement highlighted the vital role that the President plays in ensuring peace remains a cornerstone of Tanzania's future.

Reflecting on the value of peace, Mr. Abdullaman emphasized that it is only when peace is lost that its true importance is fully realized.

“Only when we experience a shortage of peace will we truly recognize its worth,” he remarked. His statement was a powerful reminder of how fragile peace can be, urging citizens to appreciate and protect it while it is still present.

Mr. Abdullaman also shared an important message for politicians who plan to engage in political activities in Tanga. He urged them to be mindful of the importance of maintaining peace.

“Tanga is not a place for chaos,” he said. “We ask all politicians who come here to engage in politics to prioritize peace above all else. The people of Tanga are committed to peace, and we expect politicians to respect that.”

The Chairman also took the opportunity to praise Tanga Regional Commissioner, Dr. Batilda Burian, for her efforts in ensuring peace and resolving conflicts within the region.

“The Tanga Regional Government, under Dr. Batilda’s leadership, has shown wisdom and caution in its efforts to ensure peace. We encourage the people of Tanga to continue supporting the government in these efforts,” he said, acknowledging the hard work of local leadership in fostering a peaceful environment.

Mr. Abdullaman urged those who are able to support the less fortunate during this Eid period, especially the sick and orphans.

“Let us show compassion to those in need during this festive time,” he said. His appeal for generosity reflected the spirit of Eid, where giving and sharing are central values, and emphasized the importance of lifting others up during moments of celebration.

By highlighting the need for unity, peace, and compassion, Mr. Abdullaman’s message serves as an inspiring call for a more peaceful and unified Tanzania.

His words resonate as a reminder that peace is not just a privilege but something that must be actively protected and nurtured by all.
