The Tanzania Athletics Federation (RT) has announced that its General Elections are scheduled to take place in April this year.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, RT's Acting Secretary-General, Jackson Ndaweka, confirmed that preparations are underway, with necessary procedures being finalized.
He stated that once all arrangements are complete, the official election date will be announced, allowing aspiring candidates to begin the nomination process.
"The General Elections will take place in April this year to elect new leaders. However, the exact date will be announced later, so stakeholders should start preparing," said Ndaweka.
He also urged member regions that have not yet conducted their local elections to do so to qualify for participation in the national voting process.
"I commend the regions that have already conducted their elections in accordance with our calendar, starting from club level to district, regional, and national levels," he added.
