Rashal energies to set up gas pipeline in Dar outskirts

By Charles Mkoka

Rashal Energies Company expects to build a gas pipeline from Kisemvule to Mbagala, a distance of 19 kilometers in Dar es Salaam.

Explaining in detail during her meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, the Director of the company, Farhiya Warsame, stated that the project will benefit many Tanzanians across the country.

The company, which is owned by locals, plans to build various gas stations nationwide, reducing the wave of demand for gas usage.

“Rashal Energies will also build more than 30 natural gas filling stations, a gas pipeline network for cars, bajajis, and motorcycles, as well as distribute gas to industries,” said Farhiya.

Our mission is to develop infrastructure and systems that meet the energy needs of rural communities and enhance sustainable growth.

From the company's extensive research, studies discovered that using wood and charcoal for cooking leads to severe respiratory issues, affecting large portions of the rural population—an estimated 33,000 Tanzanians die prematurely from household air pollution annually.

"Charcoal and wood are also stunting Tanzania's growth. Women and children have to spend time every day collecting wood and starting fires for cooking, wasting precious time that could otherwise be spent on education or work," added Farhiya.

The company, which has been a retail energy provider for years, is focused on transitioning the population to clean cooking energy, in line with Mama Samia's legacy of engaging in projects that are cheaper, time-efficient, and use cleaner energy.

The aim is to unlock thousands of productive hours each day and increase the equality, health, and future wealth of our entire nation.
