Mtibwa Sugar continues to assert its dominance in the NBC Championship League, securing a resounding 4-1 victory over African Sport in a thrilling encounter at Manungu Stadium in Morogoro.
African Sport took an early advantage, opening the scoring in the 43rd minute and maintaining their lead until halftime, going into the break with a 1-0 edge.
However, Mtibwa Sugar staged a strong comeback in the second half, with Raizin Hafidh leveling the score in the 51st minute.
The final moments of the match saw a goal-fest from Mtibwa Sugar. Magata Magata put them ahead in the 90+1st minute, followed by Omary Marungu’s strike in the 90+4th minute.
Anuary Anuary sealed the emphatic victory with a stoppage-time goal in the 90+6th minute.
With this impressive win, Mtibwa Sugar takes a significant step toward securing promotion back to the NBC Tanzania Premier League next season.
