Coach Kaseja marks winning debut with 2-1 victory

Kagera Sugar triumphed 2-1 over Pamba Jiji in today's NBC Premier League match, held at the Kaitaba Stadium in Kagera.

This victory is a significant one for new head coach Juma Kaseja, who took charge of the team after replacing former coach Melis Medo.

The game began with Pamba Jiji taking the lead in the 17th minute, courtesy of a goal from Mathew Mamonyi.

However, Kagera Sugar responded quickly, equalizing in the 42nd minute with a well-taken goal by Shaphan Siwa. The first half ended 1-1, with both teams heading into the break on level terms.

In the 63rd minute, Kagera Sugar edged ahead with a second goal from Peter Lwassa, and they held onto their 2-1 lead until the final whistle, securing all three points.

In another match, Tabora United suffered a home defeat, losing 2-1 to JKT Tanzania at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.

JKT Tanzania took the lead in the 32nd minute through a strike from Ally Msengi. Tabora United fought back, leveling the score in the 64th minute thanks to Offen Chikola's goal.

But JKT Tanzania regained the advantage in the 75th minute, with Najim Magulu scoring their second goal, which proved to be the match-winner as they held on for a 2-1 victory.
