Closure of Stadiums Affects Dodoma, Singida, and Mwanza

By Flora Mkoloma

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has officially closed Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma, CCM Liti Stadium in Singida, and CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza from hosting league matches due to non-compliance with required regulatory standards and football regulations.

TFF’s Information and Communications Officer, Clifford Ndimbo, explained that the infrastructure at these stadiums does not meet the necessary criteria set out in the club licensing regulations.

As a result of this decision, teams that use these stadiums for their home matches will be required to find alternative venues, as per the regulations, until the stadiums are inspected again following improvements and re-evaluation by TFF.

“TFF urges all clubs to continue maintaining and upgrading their stadium infrastructure,” Ndimbo stated.

Recently, TFF also closed the Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora, which is currently undergoing renovations.
