The Minister of State in the Vice President’s Office (Union and Environment) said that the National Carbon Monitoring Center (NCMC) in Morogoro will be an important part of the country’s efforts to help the nation.
This center will support projects funded by foreign countries through carbon trading. Carbon trading will not only help increase the income of citizens but also contribute to the national economy.
The Minister made these comments during a visit to the center in Morogoro today.
Earlier, Shaka Hamdu Shaka, the District Commissioner of Kilosa, who represented the Morogoro Regional Commissioner, said the region is ready to make the most of this opportunity.
This aligns with President Samia’s plan to use carbon trading as a way to increase citizens' income and support the country's development.
"This center’s presence in our region is very important. We have everything we need to make this business work, such as forests, livestock, and rivers.
We will make sure this opportunity is used well, and its benefits are clear for the citizens and the country," said Shaka.
