Daladala FC has been crowned champions of the Togabe Super Sembe Top 8 Cup after defeating Eagle FC 1-0 in the final match held today, February 9, at Mji Mwema Stadium in Kigamboni.
The only goal of the match came in the 63rd minute when Abuu Babu scored, securing Daladala’s victory. They held onto their lead until the final whistle.
As champions, Daladala received a cow and medals, while the runners-up, Eagle, were awarded two goats and medals.
Daladala’s head coach, Michael Malumbi, credited their win to good preparation and teamwork.
"We had a clear goal from the start—to win this cup. I studied our opponents' weaknesses, and that helped us achieve victory today," Malumbi said.
Tournament coordinator Issa Yahya 'Kiiza' congratulated both Daladala and Eagle for their impressive performances.
"We are happy to have successfully completed the Top 8 Togabe Cup. Tomorrow, we will review the tournament and address any challenges," Yahya said.
