The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohamed, has arrived in Tanzania and was warmly received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Cosato Chumi, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation.
The welcoming ceremony took place at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.
Amina is in the country to participate in the African Heads of State Summit on Energy, known as “Mission 300,” scheduled for January 27–28, 2025.
The summit will be held at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam.
