The Immigration Department has confirmed that three Singida Black Stars players have officially been granted Tanzanian citizenship.

The announcement was made by the Chief Spokesperson of the Immigration Department, SSI Paul Msele, who named the players as Emmanuel Kwame Keyekeh (Ghana), Josephat Arthur Bada (Ivory Coast), and Muhamed Damaro Camara (Guinea).

“The mentioned players applied for citizenship under Sections 9 and 23 of the Tanzanian Citizenship Act, Chapter 357.

In line with the provisions of the law, we hereby inform the public that they are now Tanzanian citizens by naturalization,” said Msele.

Singida Black Stars’ Public Relations Officer, Hussein Masanza, expressed delight over the development, stating that the players are now officially Tanzanian and have warmly welcomed the news.

“I urge the players to honor the trust bestowed upon them by the Immigration Department and the Government.

Ensure you abide by the laws and regulations, as violating them could result in losing your citizenship at any time,” he added.
