Dr. Hassan Abbasi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, has announced that Tanzania is fully prepared to showcase its tourism attractions during the Africa Energy Summit, which will begin in Dar es Salaam on January 27, 2025.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Sunday, January 26, 2025, after visiting some of the locations where tourism attractions have been set up, Dr. Abbasi, along with Deputy Permanent Secretary for Tourism Nkoba Mabula, Director General of the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) Ephraim Mafuru, Acting Commissioner of Tawa Conservation, and other Ministry officials, shared the plans.
He explained that the Ministry has set up displays of real animal skins at Terminals 1, 2, and 3, as well as in the conference halls and at key spots on Ocean Road and the Agakhan roundabout to attract tourists.
"We are ready, along with our partners and stakeholders, to take visitors to different attractions. For example, some senior officials from the World Bank are planning a visit to Serengeti, and we are organizing their trip. We are also inviting many more visitors," Dr. Abbasi said.
