Residents of Kilimanjaro Region have been encouraged to seize the opportunity to access free legal services at a Legal Clinic organized by the Attorney General’s Office in collaboration with the Kilimanjaro Regional Legal Committee.
The clinic is being held at the Vumbi Bus Stand grounds, near the Moshi Main Bus Terminal.
Speaking at the event, State Attorney Mr. Dickson Mbilu from the Attorney General’s Office called on citizens to make the most of the free legal services offered and commended the strong turnout so far.
“The response has been outstanding, with many citizens coming to seek legal assistance.
I would like to remind everyone that the clinic will conclude on January 27, so I urge them to continue coming. We are here and ready to serve,” said Mr. Mbilu.
Senior State Attorney Ms. Glorian Issangya, representing the Kilimanjaro Regional Legal Committee, praised the Attorney General’s Office for initiating the free Legal Clinic.
She highlighted its significant role in addressing various legal challenges affecting the community.
“I highly commend the Attorney General’s Office for this initiative. This clinic has been a lifeline for our citizens, resolving numerous legal issues that have been troubling them,” said Ms. Issangya.
She also announced plans by the Regional Legal Advisory Committee to extend their services to rural areas within the region, ensuring that more citizens can benefit from legal assistance.
“The Regional Legal Services Committee is committed to reaching citizens in their communities, especially in villages.
This will allow us to address their disputes effectively and help them focus on development activities,” added Ms. Issangya.
A beneficiary of the clinic, Mr. David Mongi, expressed his gratitude, emphasizing the positive impact it has had on many people, especially those with limited financial means.
“This clinic has been a great support and a savior for many citizens, providing quick resolutions to disputes and assisting low-income individuals who would otherwise struggle to afford legal services,” said Mr. Mongi.
The free Legal Clinic continues to serve as an essential resource for the people of Kilimanjaro, addressing their legal needs and fostering access to justice.
