Regions have been instructed to organize single-player darts competitions starting at the club level within each zone, with the aim of identifying players who will represent the country in national competitions.
The competitions began on January 1 and will run through January 31 this year.
Joseph Innocent, the Secretary-General of the Tanzania Darts Association (TADA), emphasized that the objective is to nurture and discover new talent in the sport across Tanzania.
He explained that the focus is on identifying players who will compete in the national singles championship.
“To foster strong competition at the national level, we believe it is crucial to start the competitions at the grassroots,” Innocent said.
He expressed optimism about discovering many competitive players who can perform at both the national and international levels.
